About Pastor Brian
The Rev. Brian A. Evans was born in New Kensington, Pa., grew up in Arnold, and graduated from Valley High School in 1998. In 2003 he graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Religion from Thiel College and married Erica, his high school sweetheart.
After receiving a Master of Divinity degree from the Lutheran Theological Seminary at Gettysburg, he accepted a call from Faith Lutheran Church and was ordained to the ministry of Word and Sacrament in July 2007. He subscribes to the Rule of the Society of the Holy Trinity, a Lutheran ministerium dedicated to the confessional and spiritual renewal of the Lutheran churches as well as to the unity of the one, holy, catholic, and apostolic Church.
Pastor Brian serves on the boards of Thiel College and Lutheran Campus Ministry in Greater Pittsburgh and is a commissioner on the McKeesport Trail Commission. He is the current president of the McKeesport-White Oak Kiwanis. He enjoys kayaking & fishing on the nearby Yough River, bicycling on the Pittsburgh area’s many rail-trails, and brewing beer. He and Erica reside in McKeesport with their dog Murphy.
